Entry-level computer training. Earn an A+ CompTIA CertificationCompTIA A+ Certification. It all begins by passing the CompTIA A+ 220-601: A + Essentials certification exam. HyperLearning Technologies specializes in entry-level and career-changers, and EVERYbody needs to be CompTIA A + Certified! In years past, A+ CERTIFICATION was considered optional, if you had already learned the A+ skills on your own. No more! Recent events, such as the DoD Directive 8570.1 M have caused most companies to include CompTIA A+ certification (and CompTIA N+ certification) as a MINIMUM REQUIREMENT to even apply for an IT job. Self-learning is no longer an option, unless you can also show a certification.CompTIA A + certification training validates the knowledge and skills of entry-level computer service technicians. It is an international, vendor-neutral computer training certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers. CompTIA A+ confirms a technician's ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. This page describes the A + and N + tutorial programs offered by HyperLearning technologies. Some, very advanced A+ and N+ candidates do not need these instructor-led CompTIA A + and CompTIA N + tutorials, but, in our experience, MOST EXPERIENCED TECHNICIANS will not be able to pass the exams, without some instructor-led training. There are two distinct class of CompTIA A+ certification candidates; one will be the entry-level or career-changer, learning the fundamentals of basic computer skills. The second class will be the partly experienced person, perhaps with even some hands-on employment as a computer technician, but requiring an A+ certification in order to qualify for or meet employer job requirements, such as DoD 8570.1 M.
HyperLearning separates beginners and more advanced students, because this is beneficial to both categories of computer training students. For the beginner and career-changer, HyperLearning provides a more basic level of computer training, and more time to learn the material. For this class of student, the course is 40 hours for the A+ Essentials 220-601 course and an additional 40 hours for the specialization (For instance A+ IT Technician 220-602). Since there is very little difference in the 220-601 and the 220-602 certification exam content, we do not separate these courses. We teach the program as a continuous 80-hour "A+ course." Students still have to take two separate exams to become A+ certified, but 220-602 is simply an extension of 220-601. For the more experienced, but un-certified candidate, HyperLearning provides 32 hours to learn the A+ Essentials 220-601 and 24 hours to learn the A+ specialization (e.g. A + IT Technician 220-602) Our course pricing structure reflects the difference in training time provided - both classes receive the same high quality of training.

We teach it all, in the same 80 hour course - but we strongly encourage you to take the more difficult (but more career-enhancing) 220-602 exam The A+ 220-603 exam option is popular among some candidates, but the CompTIA A+ Classroom curriculum, as we teach it will leave the candidate equally qualified to pass any of the 220-602, 220-603 or 220-604 exams. A CompTIA A+ computer training credential is the perfect entry into an IT career, and business owners who employ CompTIA A+ certified technicians notice an increase in revenue, customer satisfaction and employee retention. In fact, CompTIA A+ is part of the certification track for corporations such as Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco and Novell. Other technology companies including CompuCom and Ricoh have made CompTIA A+ certification mandatory for their service technicians. CompTIA A+ certifications are known throughout the IT community as one of the best ways to begin your computer training and break into the information technology field to build a solid career. (No link below indicates that the course is under development at CompTIA, but is no training media is available, yet.)
CompTIA A+ certifications are credentials achieved through a testing process, to validate knowledge within a specific IT support function. All CompTIA A+ exams are developed by subject matter experts, and the A+ certifications are recognized throughout the industry as the standard for proving foundation-level skill sets. Two exams are required to achieve the A+ certification. All candidates must pass the CompTIA A+ Essentials 220-601 exam, after which, the candidate can select which specialized exam to take. These can be CompTIA A+ Network and Deskside IT Technician 220-602, CompTIA A+ Remote Support and Help Desk Technician 220-603, or CompTIA A+ Depot and Bench Technician 220-604. CompTIA A+ certified professionals report that they have more confidence on the job, see an improvement in the quality of their work and have a higher demand for their services. Employers feel the same way. In fact, 74 percent of IT managers say a CompTIA A+ certification is an important factor in considering an employee for a promotion. Achieving an A+ CompTIA certification is a great way to begin your career in IT. Registration is now underway for the 2006 CompTIA A+ Essentials and CompTIA A+ 220-602 ( or A+ 220-603 or A+ 220-604) exams. We are currently starting a new A+ day and/or an A+ night-and-Saturday course about every 3 weeks. Check the CompTIA A+ schedules on our master class schedule - or call Mary Russell, our Training Consultant, at (757) 495-0714 for additional information. The CompTIA A+ 220-601 Essentials exam will cover core competencies in the latest hardware and software technologies, including a greater emphasis on information security skills, safety and environmental issues, and soft skills. Enhancement of the security component reflects the fact that IT workers encounter a host of security issues related to applications, operating systems, communications, procedures, and physical environments. The addition of soft skills is in line with the need for IT workers to be able to interact and communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and professional manner with co-workers, customers, partners, and others. The new 2006 CompTIA A+ certification candidate must take the Essentials course and pass the exam 220-601, then select one of three optional tracks (220-602, 220-603, or 220-604) for completion of the A+ certification. (Two exams, total for either track) The CompTIA A+ 220-602 exam will focus on how to apply technology skills in specific job environments, such as IT technician, IT administrator, service technician, field PC technician, or computer technician. The combination of CompTIA A+ Essentials and CompTIA A+ 220-602 is the exam option that maps most closely to the current CompTIA A+ offering. This combination is also an appropriate certification choice for:
Other CompTIA A+ exams, including A+ 220-603 for remote support technicians, service desk technicians, support center technicians, help desk technicians, and call center technicians; and A+ 220-604 for depot and bench technicians can be selected by the student. The current version of CompTIA A+ remains valid worldwide. Approximately 700,000 individuals in some 190 countries around the world hold CompTIA A+ certification. If you are currently working on the old A+ certifications, you had until December 2006 to complete the certification. You will now have to start over with the new A+ 220-601, A+ 220-602, A+ 220-603 and A+ 220-604 series. (Note: Web searches for A+ training are very difficult to find what you are looking for. Most search engines (like Google) use the + symbol as an operator, so they interpret "A + training" as "A Training.")
