Certifications are recognized as critical for job placement in today’s IT hiring environment. The American Council on Education (ACE) has recommended college credit for select Microsoft Certifications. Approved certifications are applicable to one to six semester hours of college credit in bachelor’s-degree or associate-degree classes. Old Dominion University, Tidewater Community College and Thomas Nelson Community College are three local schools who have agreed to consider certification for credit. For more information on schools and obtaining transcripts select College Credits for Microsoft Certifications.
