Course Description:
This course contains highly advanced "hands on" training which is designed to fully and completely prepare each student for employment in the data cabling installer profession. In addition to the ACES Int'l "hands on" training requirements, students will receive instruction in data cabling safety, Building Codes, Industry Standards, troubleshooting and data cabling theory. Upon completion of all required “hands on” Skills Testing, students will take the 50 question multiple choice ACES Int’l Certified Professional Data Cabling Installer written examination.

- Correctly Identify CAT5e Networks
- Perform to Current Industry Standards a Phone Wiring to '66' Block
- Perform to Current Industry Standards a COAX 'F' Connector
- Perform to Current Industry Standards a COAX 'BNC' Connector
- Perform to Current Industry Standards a DATA '110' Patch Panel
- Perform to Current Industry Standards a DATA '110' Keystone
- Perform to Current Industry Standards a DATA RJ-45 Patch Cord
- Identify Distance Allowed for the Link

Fiber Optics Installer Course

Course Description:
This course contains highly advanced "hands on" training which is designed to fully and completely prepare each student for employment in the fiber optics installer profession. In addition to the ACES Int'l "hands on" training requirements, students will receive instruction in fiber optics safety, Building Codes, Industry Standards, troubleshooting and basic fiber optics theory. Upon completion of all required "hands on" Skills Testing, students will take the 50 question multiple choice ACES Int’l Certified Professional Fiber Optics Installer written examination.

Professional Level Fiber Optics Installer Course Course "hands on" training includes:
- The proper use of tools for fiber preparation
- Each student will perform 2 types of termination using ST and SC connectors using both epoxy type and epoxyless type connectors
- Each student will perform 1 correct fusion splice
- Each student will perform 1 correct mechanical splice
- Each student will be taught to operate a Power Meter and Light source to include performing an Acceptance Test (with corresponding Documentation), perform End to End and Loop Back Tests
- Each student will be taught to operate an OTDR to correctly identify Dead Zone/Recovery Area, Mechanical and Fusion Splices, Ghosting/Echoes, Fiber Breaks and Fiber Ends
- Each student will be taught to correctly perform a 2-Point Measurement of a Splice and End to End
- Each student will review and identify data in a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
