MCP-MCTS Windows 7

The Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) in Windows 7 is comprised of two courses and their related exams; Windows 7, Configuring (70-680) and Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Support Technician (70-685). You can substitute Exam 70-686: Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Administrator for Exam 70-685. You may also choose to take the 5 day Configuring and Administering Windows 7 in place of the shorter 3 day Installing and Configuring Windows 7 Client course.

Until January 31, 2014, when you earn your MCSA: Windows 7 certification you also earn your MCTS: Windows 7, Configuration certification and either your MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 7 certification (Exams 70-680 and 70-686) or your MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician on Windows 7 certification (Exams 70-680 and 70-685).

After January 2014, you can no longer earn the MCTS: Windows 7, Configuration, MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 7, or MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician on Windows 7 certifications, but Exams 680, 685, and 686 will still be required for the MCSA: Windows 7 certification.
