MCTS Vista Configuration
MCTS candidates must pass one exam that focuses on supporting end-user issues about network connectivity, security, and applications installation and compatibility, and logon problems that include account issues and password resets. This MCTS program has two courses. The first provides students with the knowledge and skills to install and configure Windows Vista desktops. The course focuses on four main areas: installing, securing, networking, and browsing. The student will install and configure a Windows Vista desktop that is secure, on the network, and ready for browsing. The second course provides students with the knowledge and skills to successfully configure mobile computers and applications that run Windows Vista. Students focus on six main areas: maintenance and optimization tools, media applications, productivity applications, notebook computers, mobile devices, and Tablet PCs.

Course Objective:
Demonstrate expertise in the resolution of end-user issues concerning network connectivity, security, applications installation and compatibility, and logon problems by passing the following Microsoft Certification exam:
Certification Exams: Exam 70-620
Prerequisites:
Students should have a CompTIA A+ and Network+ certification or at least one year of experience in the IT field providing support at the Tier 1 or Tier 2 level. Candidates should have experience resolving issues concerning network connectivity, desktop operating systems, security, and applications. Their experience should also include addressing logon problems, performing password resets, and resolving most issues with desktop applications.
