Course Description:
The goal of this three-day course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to select, deploy, and manage a Microsoft networking solution for small and medium-sized businesses.

Target Student:
Candidates for this course are IT professionals who work for and with small- and medium-sized businesses. These professionals include product resellers; service providers; in-house technology experts; self-employed business proprietors who design, deploy, and manage their own network solutions; and owners or employees of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and system builders.
Prerequisites:
To ensure your success, we recommend you first have equivalent knowledge:
- Sharing folders.
- Stopping and starting services.
- Working with the Microsoft Management Console (MMC).
- Creating and managing user accounts.
- Assigning permissions.
- The purpose and some of the implementations of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) services such as Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DCHP) (although students will not need to know how to implement these services in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment).
- Working knowledge of Active Directory directory service.
- Working knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
