Reminder! Maintain CompTIA Certifications

As you are aware, effective January 1, 2011, all new CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ (and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) certifications will be valid for three years from the date the candidate is certified. The certification must be renewed within three years in order for the individual to remain certified.

These certifications can be maintained by enrolling in CompTIA’s Continuing Education (CE) Program or by passing the most current CompTIA exam prior to the three-year expiration date.

Post-9/11 GI Bill now available for Certifications

Effective October 1st for Non College Degree granting schools, veterans can use the Post-9/11 GI Bill for Non-college degree (NCD) programs. The program can pay up to $17,500 annually. It also pays up to $83 per month for books and supplies.

You can now pursue higher, Enterprise level Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA and Security credentials under the GI Bill. HyperLearning offers a broad range of Technology courses and programs. Give us a call to lay out a technology program that works best for you.

New Prices for Microsoft Exams

After several years at $125, Microsoft is increasing the price for their Certification Exams. The new price is $150 and will take effect July 1, 2011. If you have pre-paid vouchers from Prometric issued prior to April 21st, they will remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. If you purchase a voucher between now and June 30th, it will remain valid until November 30, 2011.

Microsoft does not anticipate a price increase for the MOS, MTA, MCM and MCA certification exams.

Microsoft has several limited time offers to lessen the blow on the price increase exam 2nd shots, exam pack discounts and special offers. Click here for more Information

Two, three day instructor led Microsoft courses have been added to the PM program for those who plan to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close enterprise level projects using Microsoft Office Project Server 2007. MS 2927 Project 2007 is designed for both the novice and experienced project manager involved in scheduling, estimating, coordinating, monitoring and controlling project and plan to use Microsoft Project as the planning tool. MS 5928 Project Server 2007 is intended for the more experienced project managers and schedulers familiar with key Project Management concepts and terminology found in the PMI PMBOK Guide and desire to learn the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server 2007.

DoD Resumes MyCAA Program

The Department Of Defense will resume the MyCAA program beginning in October 2010. Still a great program!
