MCDST—the computer training and certification to launch your IT career. We call it MCP (Desktop), because you ALSO get the coveted "Microsoft MCP" credential, when you pass the MCDST Microsoft cert.Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technicians (MCDSTs) have the technical and customer service skills to provide enterprise-level computer support and troubleshoot computer hardware and software operation issues in Microsoft Windows ® environments. This program will develop your ability to resolve end-user incident requests in a corporate or home environment and covers computer system installation, managing access to resources, configuring and troubleshooting computer hardware devices and drivers, configuring and troubleshooting the computer desktop and user environments, troubleshooting computer network protocols and services and troubleshooting and configuring end user systems to resolve incident requests regarding applications running on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. The 2261 MCDST questions are NOT trivial - for those who think they already know Windows XP - it is not an automatic Pass for MCDST certification. MCDST requires a lot of knowledge about resolving problems, at the desktop level, in an enterprise environment - the 2262 MCDST also brings in a lot of hard knowledge about the email and other desktop application issues that generally occur only in enterprise environments. (I submit that a certified Microsoft Desktop Support Technician ( MCDST ) is equivalent to a "desktop-level MCSA") Note: ALL of HyperLearning's Microsoft "packaged" certification programs will automatically include a Second Shot voucher for all exams. Single Microsoft computer training courses will not - unless the on-again-off-again Microsoft Exam Insurance or Microsft 2nd shot program is "on". You will not need to purchase these separately, if you take a computer training and certification "package program" from HyperLearning Technologies. Prerequisites: Persons taking this course should have basic computer knowledge and basic familiarity with the Windows XP Operating System, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and Office Applications. This should include CompTIA A+ and Network + computer certifications or equivalent computer knowledge and skills. Hyperlearning teaches these CompTIA A+ and N+ computer training courses when requested. If you wish to take these prerequisite courses, request them before beginning one of the Microsoft Certified Professional Tracks. Objectives: Demonstrate expertise in the resolution of end user incident requests involving troubleshooting and configuration of hardware, software and network settings by passing the following Microsoft Certification exams: Date: Scheduled on request. These usually repeat frequently and we update the PDF introduction to MCDST sheets often - but they sometimes get out of date. If we are missing one, send in a feedback.
