Use your Montgomery GI Bill Benefits at HyperLearning for GI bill computer training and GI-bill computer certification.

Use your Montgomery GI Bill Benefits at HyperLearning Technologies.  We are approved for Veterans Administration (VA) Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment, Montgomery GI Bill, and Survivors and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program  (VA Chapter 30, VA chapter 31, and VA Chapter 35).

HyperLearning Technologies, a Microsoft Certified Partner is approved for Accelerated Payment for Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty (Chapter 30) benefits.

If you are eligible, the MGIB pays for a certification tuition AND ALL OF YOUR TRAINING EXPENSES.  You will need to consult your Veterans Administration Counselor to determine your eligibility - and the method of payment.  If you elect traditional education benefits, our night evening and weekend classes are usually eligible for 3/4 time educational benefits.  If you elect the " accelerated pay plan, " your benefits will pay 60% of your training and the cost of tests.  Day classes almost always make out better by using the 60% accelerated pay plan.  Evening, night, and weekend training classes need to consult with their Veterans Administration counselor to determine the best payment plan.  Part-time computer training and certification classes, held in the evenings and weekends are eligible for 3/4 time training benefits.

What is Accelerated Payment for MGIB-AD?

An accelerated payment is a lump sum payment of 60% of tuition and fees for certain high tech programs. To qualify, you must be enrolled in a high tech program and you must certify that you intend to seek employment in a high tech industry as defined by VA. Accelerated payment is paid instead of Montgomery GI Bill benefits that you would otherwise receive.

Who qualifies for accelerated payments?

Only individuals eligible for the Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty (Chapter 30) qualify for accelerated payments.

How do you apply for accelerated payments?

Talk to George Geyer at HyperLearning Technologies (757.495.0714, 757.495.5487, 757.651.1117, Fax: 757.495.3725) or Call any time between 8:00 AM and 8:30 PM.  After 5:00 PM, call the Training Consultant line, direct, at (757) 287-5674.  (Training Consultant direct line is not open until after 5:00 PM).  We will help you complete the paperwork you need to get your training VA approved.

How much in GI-Bill benefits do I get paid for training at HyperLearning Technologies?

HyperLearning Technologies' computer training and computer certification programs are approved for VA Education Benefits. HyperLearning is a proprietary school and veteran's education benefits are determined by contact hours per week. Since we limit hours to 12 hours per week and have two weeks between courses for certification exam drill down/test preparation and certification test taking, it is normally better for the veteran to request accelerated pay.

Accelerated pay is for relatively expensive programs of short duration, like most technology programs. The benefit is determined by program's overall cost.  It pays 60% of the cost.

In addition to the accelerated payment for the initial tuition and materials expenses, the VA will usually pay, after-the-fact, even if you fail and have to retake a certification exam.

You can read up on this at the VA Benefits web site: http://www.gibill.va.gov/.  Call or stop by the training center if you have any questions or you would like to register.

Get College Credit and CEU Credits too!

HyperLearning Technologies and Tidewater Community College ( TCC ) and/or Norfolk State University ( NSU ) have teamed up to provide you with Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and/or college credits (for selected courses) at a small administrative cost to you. These credits can be directly applied toward degree completion programs at TCC, and will be transferable to many other colleges and universities.

MCP Magazine Article, Vets in Training: www.mcpmag.com/Features/article.asp?EditorialsID=237

"I'm going to make my disclaimer right up front. As all veterans know, when dealing with the government, things can change almost immediately and without so much as a hint of notice. Also, this article isn't meant to be a bible for vets wanting to be certified professionals. Consider it a brief synopsis of some of the issues involved in the whole process. So, let's make a deal. I'll give you a quick blast of info you can use. You talk to a VA representative before jumping in with both feet armed with information that I put out here. Fair enough?

The most notable VA benefit is the Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB). This benefit acts on the $1,200 initial investment made during a service member's first year of service. Under the current rates, the veteran can get $24,300 of benefits (even though that number is a bit higher as rates increase from time to time.) This is paid out in 36 months, at $672 a month, across 10 years from the date of last recorded service. It's been historically noted as the benefit that changed America.

Vocational Rehabilitation, or VR, is a benefit for those who aren't employable, or are "underemployed," due to a service-connected disability, such as a major injury or illness. It's a 48-month service that can span across 12 years from the time the disability was identified. During this time, VA provides monetary support, job placement and counseling for the veteran. The whole purpose is to get the training and support necessary to overcome the employment handicap and rejoin the workforce in a way that fits the veteran's unique needs and talents."

Use Opportunity Inc/Workforce Development Act, VA Vocational Rehabilitation, Virginia State Employment Commission Vocational Rehabilitation, and other Benefits at HyperLearning for computer training and computer certification.

There are numerous programs available to HyperLearning Technologies students to assist in adult education, adult rehabilitation, and adult job retraining.  As you might expect, these are numerous, and the if's, and's, and but's are too numerous to list here.  If you believe you may be eligible for one of these programs, the HyperLearning Technologies Training Consultant, Mary Russell, is well-versed on all of these programs (or knows who to call).

Give Mary a call at one of the telephone numbers listed below to discuss your unique opportunities.

Hyperlearning Technologies does not participate in " Tuition Assistance " and cannot offer Federally-guaranteed tuition loans.  We are certified to operate in the state of Virginia by the Virginia State Council of Higher Education.  We do not, however participate in Federal education funded programs, except those noted above.
