This axiom applies equally to small business entrepreneurs, as well as to the technologists who provide implementation services and support for SBS owners. We offer three levels of training in Small Business Server 2003 (SBS 2003): 

HyperLearning Technologies offers unscheduled, Free Small Business Server 2003 Seminars, for small business decision makers, for business technical-go-to-movers-and-shakers, and for technologists who are contemplating SBS Specialist certification as a career or as an adjunct to an existing business.  These are 1-2 hours in duration, and are scheduled by appointment only.  Call to make an appointment. 1.  Business Decision Makers  This course will help small business owners and their employees take full advantage of their IT investment, so you are ready to take better care of your customers, run your business more efficiently and cost-effectively, and keep your business up and running. A wide range of essential technology management skills will be covered, from protecting your network and managing user access to working with a technology consultant and evaluating support alternatives.  Business decision makers, need enough information to get the most out of their SBS IT investment, to maximize their Return on Investment (ROI).  For this special group, we tailor a course to get you in; get you trained; and get you out in, typically, one day.  Special scheduling requirements can be accommodated.  HyperLearning Technologies provides a customized version of the Microsoft courseware Course 2395 for this training. 

Tidewater Community College's Division of Workforce Development, the Small Business Development Center of Hampton Roads, KIS Computers Inc., and HyperLearning Technologies Inc. have partnered together for a series of information seminars on the Microsoft® Windows Small Business Server 2003.  

2.  Small Business "Go-To" Support Persons.  Most small businesses have one computer-savvy "go-to" guy or gal, who provides day-to-day support for the business user's who need to get their job done, but need additional help from someone more knowledgeable from time-to-time.  The "go-to" support person needs to know a more than the business decision maker, so they can help the organization get the most from the day-to-day use of the IT SBS 2003 computing environment.  This group typically needs 2 days of intensive computer training, for day-to-day support of the SBS 2003 server and SBS domain.

3.  Small Business Certified.  HyperLearning Technologies provides two levels of certification training for technologists, for SBS 2003.  The 3-day SBS 2003 Standard Edition program covers all of the SBS 2003 Standard Edition features, with enough exposure to SBS 2003 Premium Edition features to be able to pass the SBS 2003 Microsoft Certification Program, Test 70-282.   We also offer a 5-day training course which continues beyond the Microsoft curriculum and provides integrators and consultants with additional training on SBS 2003 Premium edition and ISA Server 2004 firewall configuration.  This training includes:

Perform a SBS 2003 needs assessment.
Identify and select the appropriate hardware and software for the SBS 2003 small business environment.

Design a SBS 2003 Small Business messaging and collaboration specification. (Including Windows Sharepoint Services, Exchange, fax, Real-Time Communications, and resource sharing.)
Design a connectivity specification for networking and remote connections. (Including Windows Small Business Server Remote Web Workplace.)
Design the application specification. (Including backup, third-party applications, utilities, and SQL Server.)
Design a management and operations specification.
Design a disaster prevention and recovery specification.
Design a hardware specification. (Including fault tolerance and hardware recommendations.) 

Installing and Configuring Windows Small Business Server 2003:
Move your network from Windows Small Business Server 4.5 or Windows Small Business Server 2000 to Windows Small Business Server 2003.
Secure Windows Small Business Server 2003.
Configure user accounts and permissions.
Configure ISA and firewalls.
Create and configure user groups and group policies. 

Configure Windows Small Business Server 2003 for networking and remote connectivity. (Including Windows Small Business Server Remote Web Workplace.):
Configure DHCP and IP addressing.
Configure the Domain Naming Service (DNS).
Troubleshoot Outlook Web Access (OWA).
Configure network users for remote access.
Troubleshoot company network connections to an Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Configure and troubleshoot Terminal Services.
Manage networks by using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). 

Configure messaging and collaboration:
Analyze fax requirements.
Configure Real-time Communications.
Recommend and implement an e-mail solution.
Implement a Web site hosting configuration.
Configure the File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
Configure resource sharing (including data, printers, and scanners).
Configure SBS 2003 Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS).
Create and configure public folders in SBS 2003 Microsoft Exchange 2003

Supporting and Maintaining Windows Small Business Server 2003
Manage Windows Small Business Server 2003. (Including using the Group Policy Management Console.)
Analyze the system by using Windows Small Business Server Management Console.
Applying and configuring group policy by using the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC). 

Manage and troubleshoot small business client computers. (Including connectivity and using the Software Update Services WSUS.)
Resolve client computer connectivity issues.
Configure Software Update Services (WSUS). 

Back up and restore Windows Small Business Server 2003.
Troubleshoot Windows Small Business Server 2003.
Expanding the Windows Small Business Server 2003 Network
Add member servers to the Windows Small Business Server 2003 domain. (Including configuring application, file, and print permissions.)
Create an application migration strategy.
Migrate applications to a Windows 2003 Server computer.
Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2003
Install Windows Server 2003.
Migrate from Windows Small Business Server 2003 to Windows Server 2003.
Configure Windows Server 2003. (Including networking, hardware specifications, and remote connectivity.)
Secure Windows Server 2003.
Manage Windows Server 2003. (Including remote administration and using the Group Policy Management Console.)
